LICC curling at Ardsley

Hello all,
We’ve come to an arrangement with the Ardsley Curling Club.  For $10 per person per session, they will allow us to use their ice one Sunday a month at 2:30pm.
The first session at the Ardsley Curling Club is this Sunday, December 18th at 2:30pm.  We hope to see you all there.  Also, we have a finalized schedule for the remaining sessions.  All sessions will be at 2:30pm, and the dates are:
December 18
January 22
February 19
March 18
See you on Sunday!

LICC vs. Ardsley Friendly Cancelled

Hello all,

Due to Hurricane Irene, we are canceling the friendly scheduled for tomorrow. Although the weather should be clear all the way through Saturday evening, we feel it is irresponsible to bring people into a zone that is preparing for the disaster. And, of course, the storm could speed up and arrive here earlier than expected.

We are trying to get some time from the arena to reschedule the friendly and will let you know if we’re successful. Meanwhile, batten down the hatches and enjoy the storm.

Welcome back!

Good curling everybody,

The Long Island Curling Club once again has ice time, and we’re happy to report that our Spring Season begins on May 14th!

Our new home is the Newbridge Arena in Bellmore, NY. (Directions/Map)

We have assigned ice times for May and June. (Please check the Calendar page.) We will post July and August later.

Learn to Curl Session!

Contact us to reserve a space in a learn to curl session. Arrive within 15 minutes of the noted time and plan to spend approximately 2 hours for a lesson and a mini game. The cost is $30 per session. E-mail LICC at licurling@gmail.com. Wear comfortable clothes and rubber soled shoes – most athletic or walking types are fine. Equipment is provided by the club so there’s no need to bring anything else.

Leagues

We will begin league playing on June 4th. All members will be assigned a team. Teams will be adjusted as new members join.

There are still places available in the leagues. To enter the league, you need to join LICC as a member. If you have curled previously, simply email licurling@gmail.com with your information. If you are new to curling, sign up for a learn to curl session and join a league the next week.
